Shallow's Story

Meet Shallow!

This sweet boy is between 2 and 3 years old and weighs around 60 pounds. He spent over a year at his local shelter and when he first arrived, he was very frightened of people. Shallow made a lot of progress even at the shelter and with kind attention and patience, he will warm up to people quickly. Shallow loves treats and is very food motivated! A sure way to earn his love and trust is tasty snack!

Shallow is good with all dogs and is not interested in the cat in his foster home. He actually seems a little scared of the cat. Shallow doesn’t have any aggression and can be fed around other dogs although he is a fast eater and will try to help other dogs clean their bowls! While he will play with other dogs, he is also content to entertain himself!

Shallow is crate trained and house trained and walks nicely on a leash. Shallow isn’t a high energy dog. He enjoys running and playing but is very content to relax on a couch by his humans as well. While Shallow is great with others dogs, he doesn’t necessarily need a canine companion to feel comfortable.

Shallow will fit best into a home with older children. He had a rough start to his life but is looking forward to joining a loving family who will shower him with kindness and treats and give him time to trust in how loving, people can be!

Shallow will be available for adoption on, or after February 27, 2026.
