Meet Shakti...<br/>a young, bright girl (under 2 years old) with the sweetest presence and playful spirit. She's social, affectionate, and absolutely loves being part of the action. She did beautifully at the Peace Walk, rides nicely in the car, and happily coexists with other dogs - napping beside them, hanging out in the yard, and sharing space with ease. She is house-trained & crate-trained.<br/><br/>She's friendly with new dogs and has lovely, wiggly play energy. In a normal day-to-day setting, she blends right in.<br/><br/>Shakti does have one thing she needs help with: she is protective of toys & her food space after meals. Because of this, Shakti would do best in a home experienced with dogs who is willing to manage feeding separately & supervise/manage toys. She can be an only dog OR with a confident, easygoing dog and clear structure around resources. She would not do well with another dog who loves toys.<br/> <br/>Outside of those situations, she is a wonderful, social young dog who just wants to be part of a family. What really stands out is her love for people. She just wants to curl next to her people & take a nap. She is smart, young, and very capable of continuing to learn with the right guidance.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a playful, loyal companion and are comfortable providing structure around mealtimes and toys, Shakti could be your girl. <br/><br/>History: This girl was a stray in Keaau.
