Meet Shakira<br/><br/>Shakira has been with us since June and we truly do not understand how this girl is still waiting.<br/><br/>She was rescued from ACCT just in time and has been living in a foster home ever since. While she has had a few meet and greets, the feedback has been the same each time. Shakira can be jumpy and mouthy when she first meets people because she gets excited and shows her love with her whole body. For some families, that was more than they were ready for.<br/><br/>What those meets did not see is the full picture.<br/><br/>Shakira is about 3 years old and a gorgeous dark brindle girl with so much personality. She is loving, social, goofy, and full of life. She adores people, enjoys car rides, walks, being outside, and curling up on the couch with her humans once she settles. She is dog friendly and thrives with structure, consistency, and someone who understands that excitement does not equal bad behavior.<br/><br/>Shakira would do best with an adopter who is patient, confident, and willing to help her continue working on her manners. With guidance and routine, she settles beautifully and wants nothing more than to be your best friend. She is not aggressive, she is not mean, she is just a happy girl who feels big emotions.<br/><br/>She has done nothing wrong.
