Lend Me Your Ears! — Shakespeare, the Dramatic Little Dude Who Steals Hearts
Oh Romeo, Romeo... wherefore art thou dog bed? Fear not, for Shakespeare has claimed it! This 8–10 year old Morkie, weighing in at a noble 11 pounds, is a tiny thespian with a non-shedding coat, an expressive face, and a grin that appears at exactly the right moment to steal your heart. He brings endless personality to every scene of daily life and proves that good things truly come in small, funny packages.
Shakespeare’s favorite games are gentle tug-of-war and long walks, which he approaches with the enthusiasm of a seasoned actor hitting his mark. He returns toys with perfect comedic timing, lets you tug again, and prances back for the next round. While out on his strolls, he barely notices other dogs or walkers unless they dare approach his people, in which case he delivers a perfectly timed protective growl worthy of a Shakespearean drama. At home, he follows his humans dutifully, yet knows exactly when to settle at your feet for quiet, heart-melting companionship. Couch time? Any book, TV, or reading session becomes a starring moment for this little ham, who is always ready for snuggles, attention, and applause.
Shakespeare takes his role as ‘Chief of Household Security’ very seriously. Friends, Romans, countrymen... beware the tiny thespian! He may bark or growl at newcomers, but only as part of his dramatic performance — a feisty little actor making sure the scene stays interesting before returning to tail wags and adoration. He is loyal, affectionate, and will occasionally flex his feisty little heart if asked to do something he doesn’t fancy, but with confident guidance he quickly returns to his happy, comedic self.
Mealtime is a delight, with softened kibble working best for this tooth-challenged actor. Potty breaks are handled with precision, and he is fully house trained. Car rides are endured with dignity, and bedtime is a peaceful curtain call, except for the occasional siren that brings forth a mournful howl worthy of a standing ovation. He thrives on routine but adds a little drama to every moment, making life anything but boring.
Shakespeare is a playful, loyal, hilarious little dude with a huge heart, a dramatic flair, and endless love to give. He is ideal for an experienced dog owner who understands that trust, patience, and structure bring out the very best in him. Life with Shakespeare is a show full of laughter, love, and perfectly timed howls — a tiny canine performer ready to steal your heart and keep it forever.
