Shakespeare 's Story

Hi, I’m Shakespeare! I’m a 1.5-year-old Lab/Schnauzer mix, weighing about 55 pounds, with a big heart and an even bigger personality. I was pulled from a high-kill shelter down south, and once I arrived at rescue, it didn’t take long for my true self to shine. I came in with lots of energy, but after learning the routine, I’ve shown just how smart, adaptable, and eager to please I really am.

These days, I’ve got things figured out. I head outside, get my zoomies out, take care of business, and then I’m ready for my favorite thing in the world — belly rubs. Seriously, nothing makes me happier than rolling over for scratches and soaking up affection.

I’ve learned my kennel routine and respond well when told to go to my room. I head right in, settle onto my bed, and relax. I’m attentive, quick to learn, and with continued training, I’m confident I’ll pick up commands and structure very easily.

I do have a higher energy level and would thrive in an active home. Daily walks, runs, or outdoor adventures would make me one very happy boy — going on runs regularly would truly be a dream for me. After I’ve burned off that energy, I’m more than happy to settle in and enjoy some downtime with my people.

I am fully vetted, including being neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, active companion who will keep you moving and then happily accept all the belly rubs, I might just be your perfect match.. My adoption fee is $400.

Please apply to adopt me here:
https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/63adcb00cb896f59b74103d2/69777431cad877f854005823

———

If interested, please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder.
