Shadow - ADOPT OR FOSTER WITH INTENT TO ADOPT

Shadow is a very handsome 2 yr old, 74# male black lab mix that recently came into our program. He was in a foster home that had cats, but it wasn't a good match because he chases/catches cats. Someone has taken Shadow into their home temporarily, so he won't have to be boarded; we are looking for someone that wants to adopt him, or perhaps foster him with intent to adopt. <br/><br/>Shadow is fine with other dogs, and loves to interact and play with them. He's young, and needs plenty of exercise, so having another playful dog and a fenced yard would be ideal. He's housebroken, knows how to sit-shake (with both paws), and tries very hard to be a lap dog. He enjoys walks - excited when he sees the leash - pulls some starting out, then settles in nicely. Rides well in the car. Was crated overnight, and did whine some starting out. And if crated during the daytime, expect some barking. He has a nice temperament - just needs someone that can teach him a few more commands, and provide the exercise he needs (having another dog to play with can really help with this). He bonds quickly with his person.<br/><br/>If you are able to foster Shadow with intent to adopt him, we will provide the food and supplies needed. Or, you can just adopt him.<br/><br/>Shadow is neutered, and current on distemper, rabies and bordetella vaccination. Heartworm test was negative. His microchip is registered to Second Chance.
