Shadow

Our longest resident - 4 year old Shadow has been at the shelter for over half his life. Shadow came to the shelter after his owner passed away and there was no family member to care for him. Shadow has had trust issues when it comes to making new friends. With dedication and love, the staff have gained Shadow's trust. He enjoys long walks on our hiking trails, sun bathing in the yard and getting butt scratches from his favorite staff. We are still working with Shadow on his food aggression, that process has been a bit slower. Shadow would do well with another laid back dog and we think he would be okay with cats. If you are interested in adopting Shadow, several visits before taking him home would be required. The ideal home would have a fenced in backyard, an inside kennel for him, and a nice, quiet environment. We also highly recommend a training course for the potential adopter and Shadow.
