Shadow's Story
***PLEASE NOTE*** This is just a courtesy post: Shadow is NOT with Farfel’s Farm & Rescue.

Please do not inquire or apply through Farfel’s — this is a courtesy post to help Shadow’s owner find him a new home. For all inquiries, please contact Kaydee at 720-402-4341 OR kaydeelyons9@gmail.com. His rehoming fee is $100 through his current owner.

Meet Shadow! ?
Shadow is a 4-year-old sweetheart who’s looking for a loving, patient home to call his own. He’s an affectionate, loyal companion who bonds deeply with his person — wherever you sleep, Shadow will want to sleep right there beside you.

Shadow is neutered, potty trained, and up to date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. He’s a total lovebug who enjoys being brushed, having his teeth brushed, and even taking baths. He’s happiest when he’s being touched or cuddled — truly a very affectionate dog.

Shadow is good with cats. He’s curious and loves being part of their business, but has zero aggression. While he hasn’t had much recent interaction with other dogs in his current home, he’s been calm and friendly when encountering dogs on walks and when meeting family dogs in the past — wagging his tail and showing no signs of aggression. With proper introductions, he would likely do well with a friendly dog companion.

Shadow is very smart and quick to learn, but could benefit from some leash training and recall work. He has a tendency to dash out the front door if given the chance, so a secure home environment and continued training will be important for his safety. He’s also a “work in progress” when it comes to listening, but he catches on fast and wants to please.

He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he warms up, he becomes incredibly loyal and affectionate.

At the vet, Shadow can get anxious and wears a muzzle just as a precaution for everyone’s safety, but he doesn’t need it in any other situations. When left alone, he may bark briefly as he adjusts to you leaving, but he settles down and will greet you enthusiastically when you return — he just loves his people and has a touch of separation anxiety.

Shadow would thrive in a home that can offer him patience, structure, and lots of love. He has tons of energy and would be happiest with a yard to play in and people who enjoy spending time with him. In return, he’ll shower you with affection, loyalty, and endless snuggles.

Rehoming Fee: $100 (to ensure a committed adopter)
Contact: Kaydee at 720-402-4341 (call or text) OR kaydeelyons9@gmail.com

Disclaimer: The dog you are interested in is a courtesy post. Farfel's Farm & Rescue often helps dogs outside our organization to find their forever homes, and these are called "courtesy posts.” By courtesy posting pets from owners and other rescues, we offer our website as a resource to help their pet gain extra exposure. The pet’s bio comes directly from the owner or rescue, and we expect them to provide accurate information, to the best of their knowledge. Farfel's Farm & Rescue in most cases has not met or evaluated these dogs, so no information about a courtesy post dog is guaranteed. We cannot accept responsibility for any injury or damages to any person or property caused by any courtesy post animals. Courtesy post pets are the sole responsibility of the owner and the adopter. In addition, Farfel's Farm & Rescue cannot take these pets in if the courtesy post adoption does not work out.
