You all might remember Shadow. He were looking for a foster for him back in April to get him out of his current home. He was originally adopted and returned when his owner became severely ill. Without proper socialization to dogs, he was adopted by someone with no dogs in the home but lived in a busy area with lots of activity and other dogs in the area. This living situation turned out to not be the best for him and his mental and physical health were affected. Well, he found an amazing foster that has worked with him. He's thriving but its time to move on to his new forever!!

Shadow, as it turns out, is an excitable terrier mix. He is 4 years old and 42lbs. His reactivity to dogs is because he is really excited to meet them. Once introduced properly and slowly, he plays with other dogs with similar energy levels. Shy, timid dogs are not his type. He has previously lived with a cat. He has not lived with children. He is also excited to meet everyone that walks by and will bark....a lot. Once the person pets him, he calms.

He is still a FOSTER TO ADOPT at this time. He does have arthritis in his hips and is waiting to see a specialist (covered by the rescue). We would like for him to start getting acclimated to his forever home while he waits. Due to this arthritis, he will need minimal steps in the home. A fenced yard is preferred. If no fence, you must be willing to work on leash manners. Have we mentioned that he's excited to see people and dogs? He will let everyone know and he will bark and pull on a leash
