Serno's Story

Meet Serno, a tenderhearted pup with a story of quiet courage. Serno came from a difficult start — rescued from a hoarding situation with around 50 dogs — and spent his early days competing for food and comfort. When he first arrived, he was frightened of everything and unsure how to trust.

In his foster home, Serno has made incredible progress. He now loves soft beds, squeaky toys, and gentle playtime. His tail wags come a little easier these days, and he’s learning that people bring love, not fear. His journey has been remarkable, and he continues to grow braver every day.

Serno still needs a patient, understanding home ready to continue his potty training, leash training, and socialization. He’s learning quickly but will thrive best with continued encouragement and stability.

We believe that Serno could benefit from being in a house with another dog, or his brother Pierre to help teach him all things about being a dog.

Adopting a pet at Foothills Animal Rescue is a simple process, and we have a dedicated staff of Adoption Counselors to help you through the procedure. How to adopt at FAR: Currently under Covid 19 protocols You can view our pets online and make an appointment to meet them. Get to know our pets. Enjoy our meet and greet room where you can spend individual time to play, pet or just sit with them. Converse with our adoption counselors about our pets, our adoption process and what to expect during the first few days. Some of our pets may need a family or dog introduction before able to adopt based on specific observations made at the sheer environment. Once you've decided to adopt, our pets are able to go home usually that same day. They are already neutered/spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Enjoy your lifetime of unconditional love.
