At around 3–5 years old, has mastered the art of being a low-key, loyal companion. We affectionately call him our "Meatball", who is happiest curled up next to you on the couch or quietly following you from room to room, just glad to be near his people.<br/>He is a certified sweetheart with other animals—he gets along well with other dogs, has lives peacefully with a cat, and is currently sharing his yard space with free range chickens like a true gentleman. He’s polite on the leash, rides well in the car, and knows his basic commands like “sit” and “lay down.” We are working on his recall commands and have seen steady progress. He is not a chewer (not even on his toys!), but he does have a soft spot for plush stuffed animals and a game of tug-of-war with rope toys. Bonus: he’s a champion stick-fetcher!<br/>Sergei is working on building his confidence with new people. He can be reactive when strangers enter his space, so a calm, quiet home with patient adopters who will go slow and let him warm up at his pace would be ideal. Once he trusts you, he’s all love.
