Serena's Story

Meet Serena, an approximately four month old bundle of sass with a playful spirit and a curious mind! Serena came to Colorado all the way from Puerto Rico, where her early life was a bit uncertain until she was whisked to safety by brave rescuers. You'd never guess, though, based on her sweet and friendly nature -- she's never met a person or dog that wasn't her new best friend!

Serena is an intelligent pup who loves her toys. She gets along with other dogs and loves to play. Serena does well on a leash, sleeps through the night in a crate, and is progressing rapidly with potty training. She's also very food motivated, so training her with positive rewards should be pretty easy! And while she has puppy energy to burn, she never says no to a cuddle session when it's time to hang out on the couch.

Serena is the perfect addition for a person or family looking for a loyal and loving companion to grow and adventure with. We have every confidence that she will be a stellar Colorado dog.

Serena has had her rabies vaccine, but needs to finish her other vaccine sequences. She is getting spayed and microchipped on 10/29/25.

Usually satos (homeless dogs from Puerto Rico) are a mix of many breeds, so while our best guess is a lab mix, your guess is as good as ours! What we do know is that, regardless of breed mix, they are always loving and grateful. We anticipate she will grow into a sturdy medium sized adult, likely 50-60lbs.

If you are interested in adopting this pup, please fill out the application here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BSCO/Dog
----------------------------------------------

We ask for a $400 donation as the adoption fee, to help cover the costs of medical services and transport.
