Meet Semper Fi!<br/><br/>This sweet girl comes from a family with a strong military background. Her name, Semper Fi, is the Marine Corps motto, meaning “Always Faithful” ?<br/><br/>Semper is my grandmother’s beloved little dog, who sadly passed away in April 2024 ? I was really worried about her after my grandma passed, as she became deeply depressed and wouldn’t make eye contact. She was incredibly attached to my grandma. In fact, they were so inseparable that it was almost unhealthy at times ? However, a few months later, she is thriving!<br/><br/>Semper came into our lives in 2016. My grandma and I found her, and soon after, we discovered she was pregnant. She gave birth to two beautiful puppies who quickly found their forever homes. I considered adopting Semper out as well, but at the time, my grandma had just lost her other little dog and really needed her for emotional support. So, Semper stayed with us.<br/><br/>Semper LOVES soaking up the sunshine, exploring the backyard, eating her meals, and snuggling in a soft blanket or dog bed. She’s well-behaved, knows how to use the dog door, and is generally friendly with other dogs—though she can get a little sassy with the energetic pups.<br/><br/>She’s looking for a patient home that will understand the need to go slow and allow her the time to adjust and thrive. Her new family will need a secure yard.She will become very protective of her space and the people she loves and can be an ankle biter when strangers come around, so she’ll need to be kept in a kennel or a separate room when guests arrive—stereotypical chihuahua behavior!<br/><br/>She’s spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
