Selah's Story

Selah was adopted as a puppy during COVID... and sadly, returned a little over a year later. Selah literally grew up during a time when people and their dogs couldn't spend time together, so she was extremely under socialized when she returned to the shelter. Selah struggled to connect with and trust people.

Selah is a super smart girl who excels at agility training, has her basic commands down, and is perfecting walking on a loose leash! She has formed strong bonds with the staff and volunteers who she knows and recently started socializing with other dogs. Selah loves the people she trusts, but we know that for now, she would do best in a quiet and active hope without young children or other dogs.

Selah is a slow burn who requires a few meets before she's comfortable around you. But once you're in, you're in for life! We hope someone out there will give Selah the opportunity to show them how special she is if you give her just a little patience.
