Seger's Story

Seger showed up at animal control as a neglected pup who was underweight and underdeveloped in June of 2025. We think he had been living in a crate for most of his puppy life. After he got physically healthier thanks to our friends at animal control, he joined an MMDR foster family in July. We believe he was born around January 2025, so he just turned 1. He was adopted back in August, but returned right before Christmas because the adopter developed allergies. We are holding on to him for a bit because we initially adopted him out on a "neuter contract" to let him develop more. He is 50# and will be neutered on January 15.

We initially thought Seger was some sort of Mal mix, but Embark revealed we were very wrong! Results are in the photos below...it turns out he is a true mutt, but mostly Husky/Lab.

Seger is the best boy. He LOVES dogs of all sizes and is good with kitties & kids too. He's a quick learner who thrives on activity and mental challenges - he already knows some basics and is eager to keep growing with his forever family. Seger is a lively, spirited boy who enjoys chew toys, playtime with his foster siblings, and snuggling up after a fun day. He's housebroken, sleeps quietly through the night in his crate, and picks up new routines like a champ. Seger will thrive in a home that understands working breeds and can provide the structure, training, and fun he craves. Bonus points if you have a dog sibling for him to play with! He loves wrestling and romping with his foster siblings, from giant breeds down to a tiny Pomeranian. If you want a playful, affectionate sidekick who's ready to be part of all your adventures, Seger's your guy!

Seger is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is being fostered in Saginaw, MI and his adoption fee is $200. You can apply for him at www.mittenmuttsdogrescue.com/adopt
