Seacoal's Story

This sweetheart may start off quietly, but once he warms up, he'll melt your heart faster than you can say "scruffy cutie!!" Seacoal is a 54 pound, young adult terrier mix with a pair of the most delightful eyebrows on this side of the Mississippi. With his cozy colors, gentle soul, and soft scruffy charm, Seacoal has an irresistible charm. His coat likely falls into the hypoallergenic/low shed category. He adores people and is a social fellow
who wants to please and would do best with a strong human leader to show him the way and teach him everything you want him to know through training. Smart and focused, he will be an excellent student. Seacoal would prefer a home without young children and a large fence to run and play or an active person who also likes to be on the move. He would be fine as an only dog or would do best with a similar size female pal who likes to run and romp just like he does! He is not likely to be a good match with a feline as much as he loves his lady doggo friends. Seacoal is ready for an easier, gentler life and is crossing his paws for a fun, adventurous and loving human! Send in your adoption request today to meet the scruffy sweetie- Seacoal!
**Hiking feedback: "He is a great boy! He has great energy and got along great with all the other dogs. He has this cute habit of recoiling onto his back legs, like he is going to spring forward. He did it for the entire hike, and typically when I would say something to him to pull back a bit. He licked my hand affectionately, and was an all around good dog".
**Additional feedback: "SeaCoal was a love bug! He was very curious of the other dogs and wanted to play during breaks. He was gentle on the leash and was a wonderful hiking partner"!
*Sleepover feedback: "Seacoal was such a fun guy to have around! His favorite activities for the weekend included cuddling, running, and chewing on his toys. He loved getting pets and curling up next to us on the couch. When not relaxing, he enjoyed walks and runs to get some of his energy out! He is great on the leash and rarely pulls except when he wants to get a good sniff somewhere or sees another dog. He is potty-trained and does well using the bathroom while leashed. Additionally, he was super well-behaved and patient when we had to dry him off after coming in from the rain".
*Additional Host feedback: "Very social, we called him "the mayor" all weekend because he wanted to meet everyone"!

Saving Grace Animals for Adoption's Adoption Policy
All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $395.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. Our Adoption Request Form can be completed online at our website at https://savinggracenc.org/adopt/. An Adoption Request Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home. Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. If you'd like to donate to help cover the cost of care for these wonderful dogs awaiting new homes, please visit the donate page on our website at https://savinggracenc.org/give/donate-now/. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
