Siblings Slick and Scruffy are 14 weeks old, weigh close to 15 pounds. Best guess at breed is a hound mix, and we expect that they will be medium size when fully grown.<br/><br/>These girls were rescued from a hoarding situation, and have been in foster care in the South since late May. They love attention, being with people, and playing with toys. They get their exercise by running and playing with the other dogs. They are sweet girls, looking for a forever home. <br/><br/>Scruffy is looking for a home with a family that has time, energy and patience to play with, exercise and train a puppy. Scruffy would love to be included in family adventures. As with all puppies, she would do best with children 5 and older.<br/><br/>NOTE: Scruffy is currently in the South in a foster home, so not available to meet in person at this time. You must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.<br/><br/>All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. <br/>Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. <br/>Forever Home Rescue makes all of the transportation arrangements.<br/><br/>Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs.<br/>Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors. <br/>Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up.<br/><br/>Also, please note our open houses which occur most every week at foreverhomerescue.org. You can see when we are open and also which dogs will be at each open house. Dogs marked 'out of town' will not usually be at open houses until they are local.
