Scout is looking for a patient, dog-savvy adopter who understands that building trust takes time—he’ll need multiple meet-and-greets before he's ready to head home. While he prefers to be the only pet in the household, Scout can enjoy doggy play dates with the right canine buddies outside the home. A kid-free environment will help him feel safe and relaxed, and he’ll thrive with a consistent training plan and a calm adjustment period as he settles into his new space. With the right support, Scout is ready to show off his goofy charm and loyal spirit. If you are interested, please come in at your earliest availability during our open hours, no appointment necessary. We do same-day adoptions, do not hold dogs, and work on a first-come, first-served basis as long as it is an excellent fit for both parties. If you have questions or want to possibly schedule an appointment on one of our closed days, you may email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com.<br/><br/>Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.
