Scout's Story

Scout is an affectionate eight-year-old energetic Australian Shepherd who loves to be outdoors and go on long walks and hikes. He resembles a fluffy teddy bear! Scout is currently undergoing behavior training at Hope's Home, as past trauma has left him untrusting.

Scout would require an experienced pet owner who is committed to training and structure. He is progressing in our training program at Hope's Home and currently lives with a behavior dog trainer who will assist every step of the way in setting him up to succeed in a new home! You not only get a fun loving dog with a great personality - but you get training support to acclimate him to a new home! He loves to play fetch and play with his toy ball.
Scout ideally should be in a home without other dogs. He will need an experienced handler who has the time to keep him mentally stimulated and provide him with adequate exercise and structure. This fluffy, loving boy will be the perfect companion for the right family!
