Meet Scout

Scout was discovered walking along a dirt road, abandoned with his siblings. Scout is a gentle, playful, and affectionate dog, who also tends to be somewhat reserved. With a puppy-like energy level, he remains calm and relaxed in his demeanor. Based on his weight of 21 lbs, we estimate Scout to be around 6 months old as of June 1st. This indicates that he will grow to be a medium-sized dog. A mix of lab, terrier, and dachshund.

Scout is a social dog and has previously lived with a pack of dogs, getting along well with all of them regardless of their size, age, or gender. He is responsive to his name and comes when called. While he is still learning to walk on a leash, Scout enjoys being outdoors and embarking on adventures. Maja is comfortable riding in cars and is currently undergoing house training.

As a puppy, Scout may exhibit typical puppy behaviors, such as chewing. However, he also plays with his toys and may occasionally engage in such activities. He is trainable and can be corrected for any unwanted behavior with guidance. Maja particularly enjoys affection, including rubs, hugs, kisses, and being held.

Scout is most suitable for a household where he can be involved in daily activities and not left alone for extended periods. He would thrive alongside someone who enjoys outdoor social activities like hiking or visiting the beach. It is essential to recognize that molding Scout into the perfect companion will require commitment and ongoing training.

The best way to keep a dog happy is to simply provide for their physical, intellectual, and emotional needs. Make sure they have a healthy diet, an appropriate amount of exercise, enough mental stimulation, and lots of love and affection.

Not only do animals give you unconditional love, but they have been shown to be psychologically, emotionally and physically beneficial to their companions. Caring for a pet can provide a sense of purpose and fulfillment and lessen feelings of loneliness.

Note: Paws Fur Hope does are best to provide all the info we can, assess their medical needs and treat if possible. Please remember that abandoned animals need time and patience to adjust.
