Scout's Story

Here's what my friends at the shelter had to say about me! "Approached Oreo in his kennel. He was lying down quiet. Staff told me he is for the most part quiet except when he sees other dogs going out then he gets excited and wants to go out. He walked wonderfully on the leash and leashed easily. He's super sweet and chill. He's got gorgeous color and his eyes are beautiful. He went poop and pee outside. At first he was a little quick with taking treats but afterwards he was fine. He took them gently as seen on the videos. He's a good boy and the staff I talked to confirmed that."

Bark About It Rescue's Adoption Policy
We utilize a foster to adopt process, whereby dogs are placed with a prospective family following the acceptance of their application including a vet reference check and a home check. Following foster placement the rescue follows up with the family to ensure it is a good fit for the dog and family's respective wants and needs. If the foster period is successful, the adoption can be formalized with an adoption contract.
