My name’s Scout, and I’m a 4–5‑month‑old German Shepherd puppy with a whole lot of love packed into my floppy‑eared self. I came to the Yuma Humane Society with my brother, Ranger. We don’t remember much about where we came from or how we ended up here—just that we arrived together, two confused little brothers trying to figure out the world. But even without a past, I’m hoping my future is bright... maybe bright enough to lead me straight to you.<br/><br/>Let me tell you a little about me. First off, I’m sweet. Like, really sweet. I love people—big people, little people, anyone who looks like they might give me attention. If you sit down, I’ll probably sit right next to you. If you talk to me, I’ll tilt my floppy ears and listen like you’re telling me the secrets of the universe. And speaking of ears... yeah, mine probably aren’t ever going to stand up. Ranger’s either. But honestly? I think it makes us look extra adorable. More character. More charm. More “you should adopt me immediately.”<br/><br/>Now, I’m still a puppy, which means I’m learning about life one silly moment at a time. For example: water tubs. Oh boy. If there’s a tub of water anywhere nearby, I’m in it. Sitting, splashing, thinking deep thoughts... it’s my happy place. And if there’s no tub? Well, a mud puddle works just fine. Actually, mud puddles have flavor, and I’m not ashamed to say I enjoy a little sip while I’m in there. Ranger does too. We’re connoisseurs of the finer things in life.<br/><br/>I’ve already had some important grown‑up stuff taken care of. I’m neutered, microchipped, and current on all my vaccinations, so I’m ready to head home whenever you are. I don’t need to be adopted with Ranger—we love each other, but we’re also confident boys who can thrive on our own. I’d do great with another dog, or I’d be perfectly happy being your one‑and‑only pup. As long as I have love, guidance, and someone who thinks floppy ears are cute, I’ll be just fine.<br/><br/>I’m still figuring out the world, but I’m eager to learn. I want to know what toys are, what treats taste like, how soft a couch feels, and what it’s like to have a human who says, “Scout is my dog.” I want to go on walks, splash in kiddie pools, nap in sunny spots, and grow into the loyal, goofy, wonderful companion I’m meant to be.<br/><br/>Most of all, I want someone who sees me—not just a puppy in a shelter, but a little soul with hope in his eyes and a wag in his tail. Someone who wants to give me a chance at the life every dog dreams of: a home, a family, and a place where I belong.<br/><br/>If you think you might be that person... I’d really love to meet you.
