Scott Pilgrim's Story

dorable & adoptable: Scott Pilgrim. Oh Hello, Gorgeous. We interrupt your regularly scheduled Monday morning to introduce you to the most ridiculous dog on the planet: Scott Pilgrim. Now, why is he ridiculous? Because his level of Doofiness is directly proportionate to his level of beauty. Blue eyes? Amazing. He will also try to eat a ball point pen directly in front of you. Incredibly beautiful chocolate merle coat? Yes, absolutely. He is also completely confounded by socks. Like, are they animated only when they’re on your feet or can they haunt him in his dreams? Better check on that several times a day, regardless of whether anyone is wearing that sock at the time.
Scotty P, Pilgrim, General Doof, whatever you want to call him—He is ridiculous, but he’s a total love. He’s just under a year old. We don’t know what circumstances led to him being homeless, but we know he’s ready to leave it all behind. Is he perfect right out of the box? Only if you’re going by looks.
We’ll be honest: He’s not very wise in the ways of house-living. He’s working on several things like when and where to wee and not inhaling his food…and the food of every other creature (human and dog) in the house… He is SO willing to learn if it means he gets regular cuddles. He figured pretty quickly that behaving overnight means he gets to snuggle up on your pillow which he VASTLY prefers to being crated. He’s extremely people-oriented and while he gets along fine with his foster brother and sisters, he would be perfectly happy being an only. He craves attention and while we throw around the term “doofy” a lot, we say it with absolute affection and acknowledgement that it’s not HIS fault no one ever taught him anything before. We don’t think he’s dumb, no way! He’s just a baby and he’s got so much life and learning ahead of him. He would love a family who’s willing to put in the time and effort to usher him into being the Amazing Dog he is destined to be.
If you're interested in adoption, you must have an approved application on file.
