Scotch's Story

Scotch is a 3-month-old shepherd mix currently weighing just 12 pounds — but don’t let his small size fool you. This little guy has the heart (and wrestling skills!) of a much bigger dog.

Scotch is wonderfully social with other dogs and truly thrives in their company. He shares toys nicely, plays well with his full-grown foster siblings, and especially loves to tumble and wrestle with his foster brother, Bourbon. He would be happiest in a home with another confident, playful dog to show him the ropes and be his built-in best friend.

He’s also safely living with cats and doing great! Outdoors, Scotch happily follows his people around the yard and shows curiosity about new surroundings. He’s comfortable exploring at his own pace and is growing braver every day.

In the house, Scotch is doing wonderfully with crate training — he settles in quietly and keeps his crate clean without accidents. He’s a smart little guy who is already building great habits. Scotch can be nervous with new people and isn’t a fan of being picked up. Because of this, he’ll need a patient, understanding adopter who will give him time to feel safe and let his personality blossom naturally. Once he feels secure, Scotch is playful, affectionate, and full of personality.

Thank you for considering an OTAT-WTX rescue! All pets are living in foster homes, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines.

If you are interested in adopting, or for more information, please visit our website: https://otatwtx.org/adopt
