Want to meet the sweetest, most loving, absolutely perfect, so-content-to-just-be-with-people dog? Meet Scooter!!! Also affectionally known as Scottie or Scootie-Patootie!!! He regularly lives up to his name and scoots to get closer to his people! Scooter will melt your heart with his soulful eyes and pure heart!<br/><br/>While we don’t know the stories of his early years, it’s apparent that sometime in Scooters’ life he experienced some trauma. He arrived at the Sanctuary terrified of collars and leashes. Yet, Scooter was still willing to give people a chance. After a few months of patience and persistence, volunteers were able to get a collar on him, and he hasn’t looked back. Now Scooter shows little hesitation with collars and leashes – he overcame his fear, which is HUGE!!!! In fact, now he eagerly looks forward to seeing the leash because he knows he gets time with his people and can go exploring on his walk. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that he walks so great on a loose leash! But his favorite part of the day is cuddle time! He loves to be with his people, receiving tummy rubs, loving pets, and hearing words of admiration! <br/><br/>Scooter is a low-energy pup who deserves a loving home that will shower him with love and affection, and don’t forget the treats – he likes those too!!!
