My name is Scooper, and I am such a sweet and gentle pup! My foster says that sometimes I can be shy, but the world is big and I am SMALL! It just takes me a minute to realize I am ok, and then I am all in! What is my best quality? Snuggling! My foster gives me an A+ in that department! What things do I love? Kids, kids, kids, and other dogs! Wait! Let me add playtime to that list! The squeakier the toy the better! I am hard at work learning all the important puppy stuff, so a home with patience and love and time to keep working on training with me is my dream! If you would like to meet me, please fill out a preadoption application and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quick as they can! Snuggles and sweet pup kisses-Scooper! **The ADOPTION FEE for this pet is $525 which includes getting the puppy/dog up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines, fecal test and deworming if necessary, heartworm test, spay or neuter (not including pre-surgical bloodwork) and a microchip. Free access to our weekly training classes is also included for the life of the dog, something no other rescue in the area offers.*

Chicagoland Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

First step is to decide if you are ready for a long term commitment owning a dog. Ask yourself if you are ready for vet bills, cost of food, training the dog, and what would happen to him/her if you became ill. Once you have decided you are ready for the commitment, the next step is to come to an adoption show and meet the dog you are interested in. Sometimes people fall in love with a picture, only to find another dog at the show better suits what they are looking for. Please remember to bring all family members, including dog(s), who live at the home to meet the new dog. We do not adopt out dogs as gifts.
