Scooby's Story
*The pre-adoption application is available on the website www.prairiepawsrescue.com

Meet Scooby!
Scooby is a male Chihuahua mix born on August 27, 2024. He came to Prairie Paws Rescue with his friend Ryker after a death in the family left their owners unable to provide the care and attention the dogs needed.
Scooby is a sweet boy who takes a little time to adjust to new people and surroundings. He wasn't well socialized when he was younger, so his first reaction to unfamiliar situations is often "stranger danger." The good news is that once he realizes he is safe, Scooby begins to relax and show his affectionate personality. In just a few days with his foster family, he has already made wonderful progress.
Scooby gets along well with the other small dogs in his foster home and is curious about the resident cats. He has not yet been exposed to children while in foster care.
Scooby is looking for a patient family that will help him continue building confidence and discovering that the world isn't such a scary place. He would benefit from positive experiences such as neighborhood walks, outings on a leash, and gentle exposure to new sights, sounds, and people. Praise, encouragement, and a few tasty treats go a long way with Scoobyhe is definitely food and treat motivated!
With time, patience, and positive reinforcement, Scooby's confidence will continue to grow. If you're willing to invest a little extra love and training into this deserving boy, you'll be rewarded with a loyal companion who will be grateful to be part of your family.
Could Scooby be the perfect addition to your home?
All medical work is completed prior to adoption including neuter shots worming flea treatment rabies shot kennel cough micro chip and vet examination.
Adoption fee is $200 + tax with an approved application.
