Scooby's Story

Hi friends! My name is Scooby, and I’m a 4-year-old, 110-lb Great Dane with a heart as big as my paws.

Life hasn’t always been fair to me—when my old family moved, they left me behind. I was literally left outside in our neighborhood with nowhere to go. Thankfully, some kind humans stepped in to give me a second chance, and now I’m hoping to find a forever family who will never let me go.

My absolute favorite thing in the whole wide world? Kids! I adore them and light up whenever I’m around little ones. I’m a gentle giant who loves nothing more than snuggles and affection. I also enjoy a nice stroll outdoors followed by a cozy nap on the couch.

I’m a quiet, friendly, low-to-medium energy guy who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. I’ve also done well with cats, chickens, and even sheep! My foster mom says I’m a quick learner—I already know “sit,” “stay,” “down,” and “shake.” I’m potty trained and crate trained, though sometimes I need a little encouragement to head into my crate.

I am heartworm positive, but RRR is taking care of my full slow kill heartworm treatment!

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, family-friendly pup who’s ready to fill your home with love, I just might be your perfect match.

Apply to adopt me here: https://form.jotform.com/243205808278157

Ruff Road Revival's Adoption Policy
The first step to the adoption process is filling out our adoption application online. We then do a vet check and check character reference, followed up by reaching out to the potential adopter to answer any questions they may have. If they are still interested at that point, we have the foster reach out to them so that they can get a better feel for if it is the right fit both for the adopter and for the animal. This also gives the potential adopter a chance to either set up a meet and greet with the animal if they are local or video chat with the animal to see their personality if they are out of state. If they are local, the next step would be a meet and greet and if that goes well, they would sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee and take the animal home. If they are out of state and decide to move forward with adoption, they will then sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. We will schedule the transport and send all information to the potential adopter. The animal will receive a health certificate prior to transport and the adopter will be added to a group chat during the transport process.
