Scooby and Tyson's Story
Meet Tyson and Scooby, 2-3 yrs old terrier/lab mixes now available for adoption via Furever Angels Animal Rescue. These two bonded brothers are desperately in search of a new life in a forever loving home together. Their first life was at best, an unstable one, with an owner who was inconsistent with the little care he offered, and who was said to be abusive at times ( though we are not sure to what extent). They lived outside, and ran loose much of the time, picked up by animal control more than once. Sometime a year or so ago, Tyson had a leg injury that, unfortunately, led to the amputation of one of his front legs. We are unclear on the details surrounding the leg injury. As painful as that experience must have been, Tyson did not let it defeat him or let the missing leg slow him down or keep him from enjoying life. He still loves taking walks, running and playing with brother,Scooby.

Thankfully, Scooby and Tyson have a guardian angel. She saved them from their old life of neglect. She rescued them with the intent of finding them a safe, loving home. She paid for much of their vet care, got them well, worked with them on some training and manners to get them accustomed to living inside a home. Now she has asked our rescue group for help in finding them a loving home together.

These two brothers may not have always been able to rely on their human but, they have always (since puppies) been able to count on each other, even through the worst of times. They are very strongly bonded now , so a home where they can live out their lives together is a must .

Their favorite activities include snuggling with each other and their foster mom under blankets, taking lots of naps, and taking walks in the neighborhood. Both are friendly, sweet dogs, though Scooby can be nervous and guarded around men he doesn't know. It takes time for him to trust men and warm up to them, but, eventually (as has been the case with the men in their foster mom's family) he comes around.

Both are house-trained, crate-trained, and walk well on leashes.

These two furbabies’ ideal life would be with an individual or couple, though we will consider homes with older children(8 and up). They would do best as only dogs. Definitely NO CATS.

We are desperate to find a home for them soon because their foster home is home to several senior cats. It has become very stressful and challenging for the foster mom to make sure they are always separated, and stressful for the cats, as well, just knowing they are in the home. We really need to get them into a new home asap.

Both dogs are up-to-date with vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and currently on monthly heartworm preventative. They both recently tested NEG for heartworms.

If interested in adopting Scooby and Tyson, or learning more about them, send inquiries to:
melissasharp623@gmail.com
