Scooby's Story

Meet Scooby, a 17-month old Mini Schnauzer...who at 32 pounds is a bit on the big side of "mini!" He is full of puppy energy and loves to play tug of war, run around both inside and outside, swim at the dog beach, and meet new friends at the dog park. Even though he's energetic, he still loves snuggle time. He will curl up right next to you on the couch or bed and soak up all the pets you give him!

Scooby currently shares his foster home with two other dogs and loves to play with both of them. He would do well in a home with other dogs as playmates, or as an only dog who gets all the attention. If you live in a smaller home or apartment, you should be willing to take him for long walks or to the park to play and socialize. He can also be a bit vocal when seeing strangers or passers-by outside. Scooby has made a lot of progress with leash training, but he does need a new family that is willing to commit to training him to walk nicely without pulling on the leash or barking.

He's been around some kids at the park and beach and would probably be fine as a family dog with kids of any age, but he is energetic and on the bigger side -- so do keep that in mind for smaller children! Scooby has a friendly and lovable demeanor and will bring a lot of joy to his new family!
