Scooby's Story

Arriving from a partner shelter in WV, Scooby has been overlooked and it's time for him to get more looks. His initial greeting is with a serious stare but it does not take long for him to show you his funny toothy grin. From first impressions, Scooby -- described as a big goofball -- has those tell-tale wrinkles and smoky mask that scream shar-pei in the mix. And his overall cautious personality is also a bit shar-pei-esque. Estimated to be between 4 and 6 years old, this guy is said to have been around other dogs and kids. He sure does not seem to like the horses very much, but that may change over time as he gets used to seeing them. With his big boned body, it may be that Scooby will be quite happy to lounge around and lumber through daily walks.

You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment. We always recommend submitting an application (and a copy of recent vet records for your current pets if applicable) to info@aradopt.org.

Link to application: https://www.angelridgeanimalrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Dog-Application.pdf
