Schultz's Story

Meet Schultz! This handsome boy would be the perfect addition to an active household. He is incredibly intelligent and has made excellent progress on his training while in the shelter and would benefit from going to a home with someone who will continue positive reinforcement training to work on his leash manners and socialization skills. He would be able to live with children 13 and up and would prefer to be the only canine in his home. Interested?

Schultz is also a part of our Rosie's Rule program. Animal Friends has teamed up with Fi Smart Dog Collar to provide GPS-enabled dog collars for Animal Friends' canine residents who may be at an increased risk of becoming separated from their handler. Once outfitted with a Fi collar, Rosie's Rule dogs will keep their collar through adoption along with a one-year subscription to the Fi App - at no cost to their new family.

Schultz is one of our Extra Loved residents. Although all our resident animals get plenty of love, many of them come from backgrounds where they may need a little extra care, extra attention, and extra patience. To help Schultz find his adoptive home, a generous donor has sponsored his adoption donation to help him feel extra loved!

Fill out an application -> thinkingoutsidethecage.org
All of our animals are altered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines before being made available for adoption.

Animal Friends Inc.
562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh PA 15237
PA Dog Kennel#: 1042

Potential adopters start by exploring available pets online or in person, then complete an application and meet with staff to discuss lifestyle, preferences, and the needs of the pet. Once a good match is identified, adopters may have a meet-and-greet, and finally, complete the adoption with guidance on care, medical history, and resources for a successful transition home.
