SCHINDLER

Schindler is a 4 year old neutered male doxie, black and tan in color. He is housetrained, completely obedience trained and even heels off-leash! To me this is unbelievable for a Doxie. He loves to travel and rides well in the car. He is up to date on vaccinations and healthy. The only thing that Shin needs are weekly ear cleanings and occasional nail trimming. He cooperates fully with these maintenance type of things. Shin's former owner is hoping to have him placed in a home where there is someone home or with him most of the time (either retired folks or work at home people). She would like him to have a fenced yard so he can romp and would prefer he not be in a home with young children. He is good with children, but often they do not understand how to handle a dog with a long back like a dachshund. Supervised visits from grandkids or visitor kids would probably be fine. Schindler likes other dogs and is also good with cats. He will chase cats if they run, but wouldn't hurt them. Shin is an active dog and his former owner felt he would be most happy in a home where there was another dog or with an active family.
