Scarlet's Story
Scarlet is adoptable & looking for her forever home. She is a wonderful companion who is ready at any time to go exploring but also to curl up on the couch for a Netflix night. She has spent time in training & would love to continue learning in her new home. She responds quickly to a gentle voice & delicious treats! Scarlet does well on a leash when walking through a neighborhood or exploring in the country.
Female (spayed)
4 years old
25#
Heartworm & Fecal NEGATIVE
UTD Vaccinations & Monthly preventatives
Kennel & House trained
Dog friendly, participated in daycare groups & previously lived in a home with multiple dogs
Can be the only dog or have in home friends
Apartment or House life

***No children in home- although she does really well with children in general. Scarlet has been tested several times by a trainer, with different children. Unfortunately on her lastnight in her previous owners home (surrendered due to moving before this incident occurred) their 6 year old child who had lived with Scarlet for years with no issue, squished his face into her face at a time of high stress for both the family & their pets. Scarlet snapped once and left a mark on the child’s cheek. We agreed to still give Scarlet a chance and to be evaluated thoroughly. Which she has been. This type of incident is very unfortunate and not the dogs fault, but we would never want to risk this again. Therefore, a home with no children will be best.***
