Scarlet's Story

Scarlet is a gentle, loving soul who recently finished raising a beautiful litter of puppies--and she was an incredible mama every step of the way. With her calm presence and nurturing heart, she made sure her babies were safe, healthy, and surrounded by love. Now that her job is done, it's finally Scarlet's turn to be cared for and cherished.

She is house trained, polite, and wonderfully well-mannered. Scarlet has a mellow nature but still enjoys getting out for a walk--and she is truly AMAZING on leash. No pulling, no fuss, just a peaceful stroll by your side.

Scarlet is dog friendly and cohabitates beautifully with other dogs, though she's not particularly playful. She's more of a quiet companion than a rough-and-tumble type. What she really loves is being close to her people. She's incredibly affectionate and happiest when she can relax nearby, soaking up your presence.

If you're looking for a calm, devoted companion who's ready to trade motherhood for a lifetime of love and pampering, Scarlet is your girl!Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. We require an approved adoption application on file before scheduling meets with our dogs. You can find the application here (www.bigpawsozarks.org/adoption-application). Big Paws of the Ozarks's Adoption Policy
All adopters must fill out an application on our website with all necessary information. From there, our staff will conduct a phone interview and answer any questions regarding the dog or the adoption process. Once approved, a meet and greet is scheduled with the family, dog, and dog's foster family. This is the time where other pets can be introduced. If the meet and greet goes well, we can send the dog in a trial adoption for a few days to make sure it is a perfect fit for everyone. From there the adoption is finalized through payment of the adoption fee and transferring of vet records.
