Meet Sawyer, a stunningly handsome boy who has been waiting at our rescue since he was a teenager. We recently celebrated a sad anniversary: one full year of Sawyer's stay at the rescue, and we honestly cannot figure out why he has been overlooked for so long. Sawyer is initially shy and reserved when meeting new people, which is why he truly deserves a patient, loving family who will take the time to work on gaining his trust. Once he feels safe, this sweet, intelligent dog is constantly learning and adapting, proving to be incredibly moldable and ready to blossom into a fantastic pet for the right home. Sawyer absolutely loves his canine friends and thrives beautifully in a large pack of dogs. Because he finds so much comfort and confidence in other dogs, his new home must feature a resident canine companion to keep him company, along with a secure fenced-in yard.<br/><br/>Sawyer is a Husky and comes with our comprehensive medical package which includes neuter, microchip, rabies, parvo-distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations. He is heartworm negative and up to date on deworming, flea, tick and heartworm prevention.<br/><br/>Our rescue is located in Mocksville, NC and we adopt to within a few hours of our rescue.
