**Courtesy post for Rescue Lyfe** Please reach out if interested. <br/><br/>Sawyer has every reason not to trust the world but somehow, he still does. <br/><br/>This sweet boy was found as a stray near Palm Desert, surviving alongside a group of other stray dogs who were attacking and bullying him. By the time Rescue Lyfe took him in, Sawyer was covered in burns and cuts.<br/><br/>Despite everything he’s been through, Sawyer remains one of the most loving, gentle, and forgiving dogs you could ever meet.<br/><br/>He absolutely adores people, loves other dogs, enjoys walks, playtime, and simply being close to his humans. He has such a soft, affectionate personality and just wants to feel safe and loved.<br/><br/>Because of the trauma and abandonment he experienced, Sawyer struggles with being left alone and is currently dealing with separation anxiety. He urgently needs either a long-term foster or forever home willing to help him build confidence and learn that he is safe. With structure, patience, consistency, and crate training, we truly believe Sawyer has all the potential in the world to overcome this.<br/><br/>Sawyer is about 1 year old, 50 lbs, neutered, vaccinated, dog friendly, and full of love.
