Savvy's Story

Hi, I'm Savvy. I’m a chocolate lab mix, a respectable seven years old, and weigh in at a solid 57 pounds. I like to think I'm all muscle, fueled by frozen Kongs and boundless curiosity.

They quickly learned my favorite things: long sniff walks where I can investigate every interesting scent the neighborhood has to offer, followed by a good nap. Toy time is also high on the list, although we have to be careful. I love to rip and tear, and sometimes, a piece of a squeaky pig might accidentally find its way into my mouth. They keep a close eye on me and only give me the really tough stuff.

I’m still working on a few things. Being alone is hard. When my humans leave, I get a little anxious and bark at the door. They tell me I’m safe, and I’m starting to believe them, especially since they introduced the crate. It's my little safe space.

Life with my humans is good. They provide structure, lots of love, and plenty of frozen Kongs. They appreciate my best qualities – how affectionate I am, my exceptional sniffing abilities, and how well I settle down after an adventure. I'm a work in progress, but with their help, I'm becoming the best Savvy I can be. And that’s a tail I'm proud to wag.

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
