Sativa's Story
Hi, my name is Sativa, and I'm a 38-pound American Blue Heeler mix.

Right now, I'm a very scared and anxious girl-I tend to pace and keep my tail tucked when I'm unsure, and I get pretty shaky when I'm feeling nervous. But if you give me time and move slowly, I'll start to come closer, lean in for gentle attention, and even sneak in a few kisses to let you know I trust you.

I really do have an affectionate heart, it's just hard for me to show it when I'm so overwhelmed. With patience, I know my true personality will shine through, and you'll see that I'm a loving, playful companion.

Because of my breed, I'll likely be a fairly active pup once I settle in, and I'll need both mental and physical stimulation to keep me happy. I'm a big foodie, so treats will definitely help me build confidence and learn that new people and experiences aren't so scary.

I know my name, and when I'm relaxed, I'll tilt my head at funny sounds, prance around with a smile, and even play fetch-yes, I'll bring the ball back too! I'll need slow introductions, a lot of socialization, and someone who will help me come out of my shell at my own pace. If you have the patience to let me blossom, I promise to reward you with loyalty, love, and plenty of goofy, joyful moments.
