My name is Satchmo and I'm an awesome 3 year old male German Shepherd. I am located at Mason Dixon K9 in Maryland where I'm enrolled in a 4-week board & train program. When I graduate, will be available for transport!<br/><br/>Quick Facts:<br/>Age - 3yrs old<br/>Kids - teenagers or adult home preferred<br/>Dogs - good with other dogs<br/>Cats - NO cats<br/>Training - receiving full obedience training at MDK9<br/><br/>1. My previous home was absolutely awful. I was living in a pen that was deep with mud and other nasty stuff. I didn't have much human interaction and I was left to fend for myself. Thankfully IDGSR rescued me!<br/><br/>2. My name comes from Louis Armstrong, Satchmo was his nickname! I'm a pretty jazzy dude and it just seemed to fit.<br/><br/>3. I would love to have a friendly female pupper in my next home to play with. There's something about having a playmate to run zoomies with that is just so fun!<br/><br/>4. I would love to go on walks, hikes, explore waterfalls, go swimming, eat pup-cups, and chase fireflies at night. Basically any summertime activity I'm down for, as long as it's with you!<br/><br/>5. I am currently training with the best of the best at Mason Dixon K9. Check out their Facebook page to see my pictures & videos. When I'm done with the program, I'll be so well behaved!<br/><br/>6. If you are not 100% ready to adopt, please wait**<br/>**************<br/><br/>***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION***<br/>-ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted<br/>-We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply<br/>-All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered<br/>-Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter<br/>-An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog<br/>-Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY<br/>-Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications<br/>-All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time<br/>-Not able to adopt?
