Sassy

Meet Sassy, a 7-year-old Staffordshire Terrier with a big heart and so much love to give. She came into our care on January 5, 2021 with her seven puppies after her owner could no longer care for them. All of her babies have since found loving homes, and now it's Sassy's turn to find the forever family she's been patiently waiting for. She is currently the longest resident at the Bully Project.<br/><br/>Sassy absolutely loves playing ball and enjoys spending time with dog friends once she's been properly introduced. She's a true Velcro dog who loves being close to her people. Food-motivated, eager to learn, and always wanting to please, Sassy thrives with attention and positive interaction.<br/><br/>Her perfect day includes lounging around for cuddles and heading outside for a good game of fetch. Sassy tends to prefer female humans, though she does have a soft spot for bearded men! Because of this, she would do best with a patient and understanding family willing to help her with introductions to new men.<br/><br/>She walks beautifully on a leash and can do well with other dogs. Sassy does have some food-guarding tendencies, so she will need to be fed separately.<br/><br/>Sassy hasn't had the easiest start in life, but she is full of potential and loves deeply and unconditionally. With the right family who will give her patience, guidance, and love, she's sure to blossom into the most loyal companion.
