Sassy's Story

***Currently located Downey, CA***

Aloha, my name is Sassy, and I'm looking for my furever home!

Not long ago, I was running free in a community where kind people looked out for me and made sure I was fed. Life on the streets wasn't easy, and during that time I became pregnant and gave birth to eight beautiful puppies—five girls and three boys. That was a lot of little mouths to feed, and I did my very best.

Thankfully, a very kind lady stepped in to help keep us safe and fed while I cared for my babies. When my puppies were about seven weeks old, another wonderful lady helped find a foster home for all of us. That's when our lives really changed. With colder weather and rain coming, moving indoors was such a blessing.

Now we're living in a warm, cozy home where we sleep inside and go outdoors to play and run around. I especially love laying in the sun . We all went to the vet, and I was told we're healthy—my foster mom said I was very well-behaved! I'm fully vaccinated, and my puppies have had their well-baby checkups and first round of vaccines. We're all getting ready for our next chapter: our furever homes.

Living in a home has helped me discover so many things I love. I enjoy going for walks, sniffari adventures, playing fetch, getting pets and belly rubs, and spending time with my human(s) . I'm learning just how wonderful it feels to belong.

I hope I'm lucky enough to meet you—we just might be the perfect match.

If you're interested in meeting me, the first step is to click the Adopt button and complete an adoption application.

I can't wait to meet you soon!

Licks & Tail Wags, Sassy

If you are interested in FOSTERING, click on the Foster Button and fill out the online Foster Application
If you are interested in ADOPTING, click on the Adopt Button and fill out the online Adoption Application
Check out our VOLUNTEER Opportunities here https://www.surfersforstrays.org/get-involved
DONATE - Check out the many ways to donate here https://www.surfersforstrays.org/donate

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
