Sassy

Speckled, spotted, and just absolutely adorable - it's Sassy!<br/><br/>Sassy is a loving dog who thrives in the comfort of a home with a family for her to devote herself to. She's a fan of squeaky toys and the occasional silly game in the home, but Sassy generally tends to be a couch potato in the home. She's house trained, not destructive, and does well she she's left on her own, but she will be so excited when you come back home and she'll bring you her biggest bone to welcome you before spinning off into a short burst of zoomies. Sassy is popular amongst her neighborhood children, she loves them all but they tend to compete to see who wins the title of "Sassy's favorite." She has previously lived with older kids and could do well in the home with a few dog savvy children who are ready to have a four-legged sidekick. She's also, several years ago, done well with the cats in her previous home but she would need a slow introduction to any future cats to ensure the safety and comfort of all animals involved. In the home Sassy couldn't be an easier dog, but she does struggle somewhat on walks when she sees other dogs. Sassy is leash reactive with other dogs, but during a few accidental encounters she has handled meeting new dogs. Sassy is working with a trainer on remaining calm, collected, and in control of her emotions when she sees other dogs but it is a work in progress and adopters should be prepared to meet her where she's at and provide her the support and understanding that she needs from her family.
