Saskia is a calm, thoughtful, zen dog who's hoping for a fresh start with someone who will match her gentle energy. She was surrendered because her owner had some medical issues and was moving, and we can't wait for her to find a new home.<br/><br/>Recently, Saskia was thrilled to get the chance to go on a day-trip with one of our volunteers. She had a blast, and her hiking buddy told us the following about their adventure:<br/><br/>While she's not the biggest fan of car rides, she didn't make a peep the whole drive. We think she might not have a lot of experience riding in cars, but she's a smart girl and will learn over time! <br/><br/>On their hike, Saskia was a dream on leash. She didn't pull once, and stops right with you when you stop. She was a little overwhelmed at first by meeting so many new people along the trail, but she warmed up! She likes to be approached slowly and gently, but allows a few head pets as a greeting. She's curious about the world around her, including other dogs, and likes to give a little sniff to say hello!<br/><br/>Her day-trip buddy says, "Overall she was AMAZING! Every time I kissed her she gave me kisses back!! And whenever I sat down to rest, she'd rest her head on my legs! She is adorable and a perfect companion. She would give you a lot of attention."<br/><br/>Saskia would be a great companion for someone who is open and curious like her. She has tested well with other dogs and would be most comfortable in an adult-only home with a steady routine. We'd love to introduce you and tell you more about her.
