Sashimi (URGENT)'s Story
Meet Sashimi!

Sashimi is a bright, lovable pup who’s been growing up in a shelter, but what she truly needs is a family to call her own. This sweet girl is hoping to find her forever home in time for the holidays—and maybe that could be with you! She’s estimated to be around 7–7.5 months old and weighs just under 50 lbs. Once she’s full grown, we expect her to be medium-to-large in size, likely 55+ lbs. While we can’t confirm her breed without a DNA test, her records list her as a mixed breed, and we believe she may be a German Shepherd mix.

Sashimi’s journey began in August 2025 when she was found as a stray in Texas. Since then, she’s been waiting patiently for someone to give her a chance. Despite her rough start, she hasn’t lost her playful spirit. She’s curious, affectionate, and ready to soak up all the love, guidance, and training a real home can offer. With time, structure, and patience, Sashimi is sure to grow into a loyal and devoted companion.

Like many young pups, Sashimi is still learning her basics. She’ll need help with house training, leash walking, and gaining confidence in new situations. She may be a little unsure at first, but once she feels safe, her goofy, loving personality starts to shine.

Sashimi does well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine friend, though it isn’t required. She hasn’t been tested with cats, but given her age, she could adapt with slow and proper introductions. Since she hasn’t had much experience with children, we recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids who understand puppy behavior.

She would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced yard where she can run and burn off energy. She is not a good fit for apartment or condo living. While shepherd or working-dog experience is a bonus, it isn’t mandatory—what matters most is a patient, committed adopter who will guide her as she grows.

Shelters in Texas are overcrowded, and puppies like Sashimi are at risk simply due to lack of space. She deserves so much more than kennel life—she deserves a lifetime of love, family, and adventure.

Adoption Requirements:
• No apartments or condos (case-by-case)
• Yard required
• Breed-savvy or experienced adopter preferred

Health:
Sashimi is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and on monthly preventatives. She is too young for heartworm testing but is healthy and ready to go home.

Adoption Info:
All of our dogs, including Sashimi, are currently located in Texas and will only travel once an adoption is finalized. Transport is included in the adoption fee. Breed labels are educated guesses—we encourage adopters to focus on her personality, needs, and lifestyle fit rather than breed alone. MA License #479
