Sasha (Spayed) (Photos 4/3/2024) Shepherd Mix Marietta, OH

**PHOTOS 4/03/2024 In Sasha's "Gated Community" Apartment** ... Sasha is a beautiful 5-year old female Shepherd mix who was brought to the HSOV on April 24, 2023 and placed in an outside kennel. We believe that she was likely left in our care by her owner (or someone who was familiar with her) since there was a note left with her which gave a bit of information about Sasha.

Sasha has a brown/dark tan short smooth coat with white/cream markings on her chest, a long tail, and a lovely face with dark brown eyes, black shading on her muzzle, and large erect ears.

The note with Sasha which listed her name and age also had a short sentence saying that she was good with people .. but that she was not good with small dogs or cats.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Sasha was held for three days to give her family (if she was actually a stray) the opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.

Since Sasha was not reclaimed, she was spayed on June 20, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Sasha was adopted on January 26, 2024 but came back to HSOV on March 28, 2024 (through really no fault of her own). Her new family reported that Sasha was a bit of an escape artist with athletic ability and was able to climb over the high fence in her new yard .. Unfortunately Sasha went over to an adjoining neighbor a few times (perhaps to introduce herself and to that family and their dog), but her visits were not welcomed. So for her own protection, her heartbroken adopter decided that she loved Sasha so much that she was willing to part with her in hopes that she would find a more perfect home.

Sasha is housebroken. This little sweetheart is good with children as well as other dogs. Sasha weighs 49 lbs. She is the perfect size for a nice companion to snuggle up with and share snacks while you watch your favorite tv shows.

Since Sasha is already spayed, she could leave our shelter immediately either for adoption, foster, or foster-to-adopt with an approved HSOV adoption application.

These photos were taken on April 3, 2024 while Sasha was enjoying a leisurely afternoon nap in her luxury 'mini apartment'. Sasha wants everyone to know that she is now residing in a high-class 'gated community' with daily maid service, catered meals, and daily social visits from her many friends (our HSOV Staff, Kennel Techs, and Volunteers). In reality, the 'gated community' is actually a tall baby gate that has been placed at the door of our small (former) volunteer room in the hallway of the shelter .. But Sasha is putting a positive spin on her current situation while she waits for someone to offer her a dream home.

Our kennel techs gave Sasha a beautiful pink frilly 'girly' collar and a cute pink/purple stuffed octopus toy, and she seemed to know that these were special gifts from special friends.

Sasha is a wanna-be lap dog who is ecstatic when visitors enter her mini-apartment and make themselves at home while she entertains them .. And she loves to relax on your lap and give you super sweet hugs and kisses. Sasha is especially happy when she recognizes 'repeat visitors', and she even has one family group with children who love to 'hang out' and sit on the blanket-covered floor with her.

Note.. Sasha was frightened of the camera flash, so we turned off the flash during several of these photos which made her coat appear darker than it really is when you see her in person.
