Sasha 's Story
Meet Sasha 💕

Sasha is a sweet, expressive, and energetic girl who forms deep bonds with her people and thrives when she feels safe and secure. Once she warms up, Sasha’s loving and loyal nature truly shines. She enjoys being near her person, settling close by rather than on your lap, and happily offers kisses and pets as her way of showing affection — just keep in mind she can get excited and sometimes jumps up to greet those she loves.

An active companion, Sasha adores toys, balls, and wide-open spaces where she can run and burn off her energy. She enjoys playing fetch with the people in her home and, earlier in life, even liked romping with other dogs. These days, she does best focusing her playful spirit with her trusted humans.

Sasha is fully housetrained and crate trained, and she appreciates routines that add comfort and predictability to her day. She is not leash trained and tends to pull while walking, so continued patience and positive training would be important for helping her gain confidence and better leash manners.

With children she knows — ages 5 and up — Sasha has done well, though she may be cautious around new kids as she continues to rebuild her sense of security.

Physically, Sasha delights everyone with her adorable white paws and the charming little prance she does when she walks or runs. She has a wonderfully expressive face and will happily roll over for belly rubs when she feels relaxed and safe. A small detail that adds to her unique look is the bit of her left ear she’s missing — a reminder of her resilience from past experiences.

Sasha’s ideal home would be a calm, active household with plenty of space — ideally a yard — where she can safely play and stretch her legs. She would do best as the only pet, as interactions with other dogs and cats currently cause her stress and reactive behavior. She can also be wary of unfamiliar men and tends to bark only when she sees or hears new people, dogs, or cats.

Sasha experiences some ongoing anxiety, likely related to past incidents with other animals. She may pace, stay alert to every sound, and watch windows closely for passing pets, often appearing “on edge.” With consistent routine, reassurance, and patient training, she has great potential to continue building confidence.

Ultimately, Sasha is a deeply loving, sensitive soul looking for a patient, understanding home where she can feel secure, loved, and free to be her playful, affectionate self. 🐾
