SASHA's Story
Meet Sasha Sasha came to us on 12/31/25 as a stray, but it didn’t take long for staff to realize the truth — she had been dumped. An hour before she arrived, her owner called the surrender hotline. Despite that rough start, Sasha has shown nothing but resilience, enthusiasm, and a whole lot of love to give. Sasha is a 1 year, 1 month old Pit Bull mix with a bright mind and an active spirit. She knows verbal commands and cues, is eager to engage, and thrives when she has something to do. This girl is all energy in the best way — she would make an excellent hiking partner, running buddy, or adventure dog for someone who loves to stay active. In playgroup, Sasha has shown she can work through new situations. She initially entered with her hackles raised and some uncertainty, but after a short acclimation period, she settled in beautifully. Once comfortable, Sasha played very well, showing off her fun-loving personality. She especially enjoys running and wrestling with Otto and has done well playing with Otto, Tasha, Gumbo, Dean, Gunner, and Atlas. Sasha could do well as a family dog, particularly in a home with older kids who are familiar with high-energy dogs and enjoy an active lifestyle. Sasha is ready for a fresh start — one filled with movement, structure, love, and a family who won’t give up on her.
