Sasha's Story
Please read our Core Values prior to applying, www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations.

Posted 5/23/2025

Sasha is a Lab/GSD mix, weighing 47 lbs., although she needs to gain at least 10 pounds. Sasha's human spent months in the hospital while she patiently waited at home for her human to return. Sadly, her owner never returned and Sasha needed help. She is now in foster care and doing quite well. Sasha is very friendly and affectionate to humans (although she has the scary sounding GSD bark). She loves to give and receive love, will cuddle and let someone pet her until they decide to stop. Sasha loves to meet new people. She can be protective of the people she lives with and may bark when someone new approaches. Sasha does well with other dogs, but is still learning social skills. She would do well with a tolerant or laidback dog(s). She’s still very puppy-like, so a dog that could teach her when to play and when to relax would be good for her. Sasha lived with a cat in her last foster home and recently tested well with cats. A laidback and tolerant cat should get along fine with her. Sasha knows a few basic commands and is learning more every day. She loves treats! They are very helpful when trying to teach her something new. She is energetic, loves to play – especially fetch – and take walks. Sasha is still learning how to walk on a leash but she is getting better. She enjoys car rides and does very well when getting a bath. Sasha is housebroken and crate trained. She may whine a little when she first goes into the crate, but she sleeps through the night without any problems. Check out this sweet girl! She has A LOT of love to give!

Contact generalinfo@furryfriendsnetwork.com for questions or if issues are encountered with the adoption application or general adoption process.

Foster Homes are desperately needed in order to help more animals like this one.
