Sarge's Story
Meet Sarge.

Sarge was found as a stray, sick and suffering from multiple infections, his body deprived of food and marked with scars from a past no animal should ever have to endure. People have failed him in ways we can only imagine, and now, even in safety, he struggles to cope with the trauma that still haunts him. He wakes up in a panic, snarling and snapping at the ghosts of his past, trying to defend himself from something that is no longer there.

But Sarge is young. He still has a lifetime ahead of him, and we refuse to let his past define his future. He is resting, healing, and slowly learning that kindness exists. One day, we hope he will know nothing but love.

Sarge will need a forever home that understands his journey—a home filled with patience, love, and the unwavering commitment to help him become the happy, carefree dog he was always meant to be.

He has been living with a foster and has been making great strides towards healing, learning to be a loved pet, and learning to socialize with other dogs, but would dream of being your only one.

Sarge is fully vetted. He’s heartworm negative and was neutered and microchipped on 3/27/25. He’s fully vaccinated and has been dewormed several times. His adoption fee is $350.
